St Paul's Past Pupils Union

St Paul’s has a proud tradition of high academic standards, and we count among our past pupils many who have achieved renown in the arts, science, business and legal professions.

The union has grown from very small beginnings. The first meeting took place at St. Paul’s Convent on Wednesday March 7th 1984 with just two members – Sr. Mary Lyons and Ursula McDonnell (RIP).

St Paul’s Past Pupils’ Union is now over 35 years old with its own constitution and is run by Sr Elizabeth Walsh, Sister Mary and a hard-working committee of 12 past pupils. The Facebook page,  St Paul’s Past Pupils, has now approximately 4000 members. This link is the main source of communication among the past pupils who are now spread all over the world.

Over the years many activities have been organised by the Past Pupils’ Committee. These include fashion shows, table quizzes, céilís and karaoke, as well as many social gatherings where we just sit together, share old memories and renew acquaintances.

The PPU has donated money to the school for various projects as well as a perpetual trophy. This is presented each year at the graduation ceremony to the Leaving Certificate student who achieves the ‘Overall Merit Award.’

We remember all our past students with affection, many of whose photographs now grace our Memory Lane Corridor in school. We would be delighted if you would consider adding your name to the list.

We encourage you to get involved in the Past Pupils’ Union by attending reunions or by joining the committee. All are most welcome. You can also message us through our Facebook page at any time.

Best wishes
